Note
Here are the main reasons the Safari Extension might not be working as expected:
-
You haven't completed the necessary setup to access the Safari Extension through the Share button
-
You tapped on the Share button and tried to use the Safari Extension outside of Safari
-
You tried to use the Safari Extension on a page that contains neither a registration nor a login form
-
The registration/login form you are trying to fill is embedded as an iframe and cannot be detected by Pocket Geek Privacy
The Safari Extension gives you access to your Password Manager through the Share button in the Safari mobile browser. Even if the Share button is present elsewhere, the Safari Extension only works in Safari, and you will not be able to use it from another browser. You can use it when you register a new account to generate a strong password and an alias email address that will be saved in your Managers. You can also use it to fill your login forms in Safari with your saved credentials if Autofill is unavailable.
For more information, check out How to register and log in using Pocket Geek Privacy on your iOS device.
The Safari Extension will only work if a registration or a login form is detected and can be filled, so make sure you are on the right page before hitting the Share button. Unfortunately, there are also some technical limitations that block Pocket Geek Privacy's AI from detecting the nature of a form, such as forms embedded as an iframe.
If you can't use the Safari Extension or Pocket Geek Privacy Autofill, but you still wish to register with a unique and strong password and/or an alias email address for your account, you’ll need to open Pocket Geek Privacy and do so directly in your Password Manager by adding a new account. You can then copy your new credentials to the clipboard ( icon) and paste them in the registration form.
