Trackers have a lot of different uses. In some cases, a tracker may be needed for a website to display correctly and blocking it will hinder that functionality.
If your Pocket Geek Privacy Tracker Manager is blocking some trackers for a given website or mobile app and you are experiencing weird formatting behaviors, we recommend that you first reload the webpage you are visiting (or close and reopen the app if you are on a mobile device).
If the problem persists, you will then need to unblock the trackers for this website.
To unblock the trackers for a particular website, click on the Pocket Geek Privacy logo in your browser navigation bar (top right of your computer screen) and open the Tracker Manager (you can also access the Tracker Manager directly from your Toolbar.)
Click on the
icon in order to see which trackers are currently being blocked for this website and choose to either unblock them all or selectively unblock some. Then reload the page.It can prove difficult to assess which trackers or even which kind of trackers may be causing the problem. Advertising trackers can have this effect but we have seen trackers from other categories including Analytics trackers impacting webpages layouts. Unblocking all the trackers for a particular webpage may then be the best temporary solution.
If the problem is not fixed at this point, it may be due to an error unrelated to Pocket Geek Privacy or eventually to a problem on our side we are not aware of. In this case, feel free to contact us with the mention of the URL address of the website where you are experiencing issues (you will find it in your browser navigation bar).
